A Family-Run Business Since 2023
While working in education, we noticed that many day-to-day financial and administrative tasks were handled manually. With backgrounds in computer science and a shared interest in how businesses run, we started building software tools to make life easier and more efficient for the team. After seeing the positive impact of those first systems, we wondered whether other businesses might benefit too. That idea became the foundation of Artopian.
We went on to work with a range of different organisations – from manufacturers and
cosmetic clinics to accountancy firms and secondary schools – to understand how they handled their everyday work. We sat with teams, saw how things were done, and built software to suit their needs. Over time, we found that many childcare providers dealt with similar day-to-day challenges, meaning the tools we built could support more than one organisation. That naturally became our main focus, though we still work in other sectors.
We continue to approach every client the same way we started: sit with the team, understand how they work, and build solutions to improve how things run. We personally use these tools to handle the day-to-day finance operations for our clients, so they work with people, not systems.
Businesses run on relationships, and that’s why the human element of our work matters just as much as the technology behind it.

The people behind Artopian
Jordan Saphir
Managing Director
Jordan graduated from Durham University in 2024 with a First-Class Master’s degree in Computer Science, placing in the top three of his cohort. Alongside his degree, he developed two finance-technology projects that were taken forward with external organisations over several years, laying the foundations for Artopian.
Jordan now leads day-to-day operations at Artopian, overseeing technical development and client delivery.

Kieran Saphir
Strategic Advisor
Kieran is studying for a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Warwick and is expected to graduate in 2027. Before starting his degree, he worked in accounting and finance within the education sector, where he gained hands-on experience with financial administration in multi-site environments.
Kieran co-founded Artopian and contributed early insight into operational improvements during its formation. He remains involved in an advisory capacity.
